I’ve been doing CrossFit for several years & have always maintained the same weight, but I wanted to make a change and actually lose some weight.

A few of us at the gym got together and decided to do an 8 week weight loss challenge.When the challenge started I began to really watch what I was eating and pretty much cut out alcohol completely. I didn’t count macros, calories or anything like that – I just stayed mindful of what I was eating for all meals. I started out weighing in at 156.2 and ended the 8 week challenge at 147.8 losing 8.4 pounds. My body fat percentage started at 27.2% and ended at 20.5% losing 6.7% body fat!!

After losing some pounds and body fat I definitely saw improvement in the gym, especially with my cardio & gymnastics movements. Even after losing weight, my muscle mass remained the same
I’m so happy that I stuck with this challenge.

So my entire life I’ve always been known as the “scrawny kid” but this summer of 2022 I was pushed into joining CrossFit even though I told myself I would never join. 3 months into my journey at FSU these pictures show what hard work and consistency have done. I’m excited to find out how far I can push myself and I can’t thank my awesome coach enough for helping me get to where I am today.
